Welcome to HOL! I am so excited to see that the hat has sorted you into GRYFFINDOR! You've been sorted into the best house at HOL, and I know you'll have a great time! We're all about having fun, and there are so many things to do here! It can be a little confusing, though, so be sure to read this email for all the basics you need. And if you have other questions, just ask me!

I know you must be eager to start, but before you can do anything, you need to know where the Common Room is, right? The Common Room is the best place to make friends, join clubs and find out how to earn points! The best-kept secrets of Gryffindor lie beyond the Fat Lady's Portrait, so don't miss out on anything! Sign up for the Common Room today! And be sure to visit us in the HOL chatrooms, too!

The most important things to note are that, when you sign up, use your FULL HOL name, proper capitalization/spacing, and the same e-mail you used to sign up on HOL.

Finally, you can check the status of your forum account here: http://gryff.net/CR/index.php?/topic/1206-approved-unapproved-registration-fall-2011/ It may take a couple of days to be approved, so please be patient. 

Once you've made it to the Common Room, there are TONS of things to do! You can join the Quidditch team (my personal favorite activity! If you like Harry Potter trivia, join the Quidditch Team!!), the Graphics Club, the Book Club... so many awesome things!

Also, one of the most important things to know about: the HOL Chatrooms! This is where you can meet amazing people and really get to know the other HOLers (and play Quidditch!!). Everyone is super friendly and I've met some amazing people over the years. You can access them from the front page of HOL, down on the right side of the page, below the set of drop down menus.
